MFT's January Creative Construction with Blueprints

Thanks for stopping by today! I am starting off the week with a new monthly MFT Design Team Challenge, Construction with Blueprints

We love Blueprints because they take the guesswork out of crafting beautiful cards in quick fashion when we’re short on time or inspiration. We also love them for their versatility and ability to be mixed and matched when we have the time and inspiration to create something truly unique. Our Creative Construction Challenge focuses on these attributes each month, challenging the team to both assemble a card based on one of the provided Blueprints sketches as well as design an original card combining elements from the featured Blueprints.
We thought it appropriate to kick off this series by going back to the beginning and focusing on the first two Blueprints we created for you. Take a walk down memory lane with us!  You can stop by the MFT Blog for the list of all the designers sharing projects today.

My first card is designed with Blueprints 1and the layout is based on one the sketches you can download for inspiration.

I added quick and easy background patterns with the Grid Background Stamp, using Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink on Sno Cone Card Stock, and the Swiss Dot Background Stamp using Lemon Chiffon Card Stock and Lemon Chiffon Premium Dye Ink

The sweet Pure Innocence Stamp is the newly released Heart Banner. The "XO" sentiment is from the All My Love Stamp Set. She is colored with Copics.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the  Heart Banner Stamp Set.

On my second card I used Blueprints 1 and Blueprints 2, and came up with my own layout idea using a combination of dies from both the Blueprints Die-namics.

The background patterns on this card are stamped with the Damask Background Stamp, using Sno Cone Card Stock with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and embossing with white embossing powder and the Linen Background Stamp, stamping Sour Apple Premium Dye Ink on Sour Apple Card Stock

Here's a closer look at the stamped patterns. The sentiment if from the Birthday Greeting Stamp Set and the background pattern behind the sentiment is stamped with the Swiss Dot Background Stamp, using Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink on Sno Cone Card Stock.

Here's the inside using another sentiment from the Birthday Greeting Stamp Set.
